Best Vinegar Coleslaw Recipe

Coleslaw, the sidekick of all summer dishes. I snagged this recipe off my friend Greg when we lived in California. It compliments slow roasted ribs or pork chops or anything really. Your taste buds can thank me later. I’m more of a vinegar sort of dressing girl. Try it, trust me! It’s worth a go and don’t forget to share.

1/2 of green cabbage
1 cup of red cabbage
3 tbspn of apple cider vineagar
2 tbspn of virgin olive oil
3 tbspn of sugar (I’ve used brown sugar or agave in the past as well or a mix of both)
1/4 tspn of black pepper
1/4 tspn of sea salt
1/3 tspn dry mustard
1/4 tspn of celery seed

OPTIONAL (I skip these)
1 cup of chopped carrots
1/4 cup green onions

Mix the dressing up on it’s own first and let sit for about 5 minutes or longer. Then add everything together and let it hang out in the fridge for at least 10 minutes. The marination time helps blend everything together.
